Ethiopian Electric Power (EEP) is embarking on the development of the Ethiopia-Djibouti Second Power Interconnection Project: Phase 2, in Ethiopia. This project aims to establish a 230 kV transmission interconnection from Semera, Ethiopia to Nagad, Djibouti, which is deemed the most effective means to augment Djibouti's clean and cost-efficient power supply by over 30%.
