UN Greenlights 2,400MW Batoka Gorge Project
The dam will be built downstream from the Victoria Falls.
The UN has given Zambia and Zimbabwe approval to build the 2,400MW Batoka Gorge hydroelectric scheme (BGHES) downstream from the Victoria Falls, a UNESCO world heritage site.
