Tri-National Ruzizi III Hydro Project Advances
Construction to begin in December, with commissioning set for 2030.
The government of Burundi recently met with the partners of the Ruzizi III hydropower project, affirming its commitment to advancing the 206MW run-of-river scheme, to be located between western Rwanda and eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).The US$800 million project is said to be the first-ever tri-national public-private partnership (PPP)
