South Africa’s Transnet Gets US$279 Million Loan
Funding to support modernisation and improvement of freight rail network.
South African freight transport and logistics company Transnet has secured a Rand 5 billion (US$279.2 million) loan from the New Development Bank (NDB) that will support the modernisation and improvement of the country’s freight rail network.The loan, which matures in 25 years, was signed in late August in Cape Town
