NamPower Receives Bids For Biomass Plant

The 40MW plant will be fed with encroacher bush.

NamPower has received five bids to build the 40MW Otjikoto biomass power station near Tsumeb, in the Oshikoto region of Namibia. The tender for the engineering, procurement and construction contract was issued earlier this year. The bidders, all led by Chinese firms, are: •    Jiangsu CPT Power Company •    Runh Power Corporation
