Malawi And China Sign Rail Agreement
The US$2 billion deal will upgrade Malawi's rail network in phases.
Malawi and China have signed a €2 billion (US$2.1 billion) agreement for the construction, electrification and signalling of a comprehensive rail network in the southern African country.
Signed during the Third Belt and Road Forum in Beijing this month, the agreement involves a five-year project to be implemented in three phases.
