
Lesotho Invites Prequalification Applications For Water Works
Lesotho’s Ministry of Natural Resources, through the World Bank, has invited prequalification applications for phase two of the Lesotho Lowlands Water Development Project.
Companies are being sought to design and build a raw water river intake and treatment works, with a capacity of 25 million litres a day, adjacent to the Hlotse River in Lesotho.
Key qualification requirements include:
• Eligible and with no contractual non-performance.
• Adequate sources of finance with at least US$3 million available.
• Minimum annual turnover of US$19 million.
• Five years general construction experience.
• Constructed one contract ≥US$38 million or two with total value of ≥ US$19 million each.
The request for proposals is due to be issued in July 2023.
