South Africa’s Sandton Central Rea Vaya Bus Project Resumes
Two bus stations are being developed on this Phase 1C Sandton Central route.
Johannesburg’s Rea Vaya Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) system links the Johannesburg CBD and Braamfontein with Soweto. It is currently expanding towards Sandton, Rosebank and Midrand as well.
According to figures reported by the City of Johannesburg Municipality, fifty thousand commuters use the Rea Vaya BRT, on average, daily.
