Rwanda’s Kivu56 Plant Starts Supplying Electricity
The methane-to-power plant is now feeding 37.5MW into the national grid.
The Kivu56 methane-to-power plant on Lake Kivu in western Rwanda has officially begun supplying electricity to the national grid, Rwanda Broadcasting Corporation (RBC) has reported.
Developed by the local Shema Power Lake Kivu (SPLK), the independent power project in the Rubavu district is being delivered in stages, with electricity from the 37.5MW
