Rwanda Inaugurates Rubavu Port

Facility is one of four lake ports being developed to facilitate trade with Congo.

The Rwandan government in early December inaugurated the Rubavu port, located on Lake Kivu in the country’s Western Province.The US$9 million port is part of the US$18.3 million Lake Kivu Harbour Transport Project, which aims to facilitate and expand trade with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and neighbouring regions.
