Malawi Breaks Ground On Magwero Industrial Park
The special economic zone will be developed in phases.
Malawi’s President Lazarus Chakwera has officiated over the groundbreaking ceremony for the Magwero industrial park, the country's first special economic zone, located 10km from the capital Lilongwe.The park is being developed under a public-private partnership by the pan-African ARISE Integrated Industrial Platforms (ARISE).ARISE signed a framework contract in June 2023
