EDF Moves Forward With Cameroon’s Kikot Hydro Scheme
With a capacity of 500MW, it will be the country's largest energy project.
The government of Cameroon and Electricite de France (EDF) have set up a joint venture to design, construct and operate the Kikot hydropower project on the Sanaga River, 60km northwest of the capital Yaounde.
Officially established on 25 September, Kikot-Mbebe Hydro Power Company (KHPC) will be responsible for developing the 500MW
