Burundi Gets US Funding For Electrification

Weza Power to develop mini grids and set up rural utility.

The US Development Finance Corporation (DFC) and US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) have committed over US$5 million to support electrification efforts in Burundi.The US embassy in Burundi in mid-October announced that the DFC would provide US$3.1 million in technical assistance to help private utility Weza Power accelerate the expansion
