BII Provides US$15 Million For Tanzania Renewables

Funding to support development of 7.6MW of renewables capacity.

The UK’s development finance institution, British International Investment (BII) has agreed to provide US$15 million to Rift Valley Energy (RVE) to support the development of renewable energy projects in Tanzania.The financing will enable the construction of 7.6MW of wind and hydropower capacity in low-income areas in rural Tanzania, providing electricity
