Nigerian Content Tower (NCDMB HQ), Yenagoa, Nigeria
The 17 story 'Nigerian Content Tower' is located in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state, Nigeria, and was constructed by Megastar Technical and Construction Company, an indigenous Nigerian construction firm. The tower building is the headquarters for the Nigerian Content Development & Monitoring Board (NDCMB) which oversees the implementation of Nigeria's oil & gas industry’s local content development plan in line with the the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act (2010). Construction work started in 2015 and the completed structure was commissioned by President Buhari on 20 August 2020. The project included the 17 story tower structure, a 1000-seat capacity auditorium and a 4-level carpark. The building has its own 10 MW gas-fired power plant which was constructed by the Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) to provide electricity to the NCDMB structures and to the Nigerian Oil & Gas Park and select structures in Bayelsa state.
